Glyn Loftin, passed away Wednesday, April 20, 2011 in Wichita Falls. Funeral service will be Saturday, April 23, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in the First Baptist Church with Pastor Tony Nickel, Reverend James C. Hill of Granbury, and Richard Segars officiating. Burial will follow in Markley Cemetery in Markley, Texas. Arrangements are under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.
Glyn was born December 16, 1926 in Archer County to the late Wylie P. and Iva Dell (Pierce) Loftin, Sr. He graduated from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture. He was a Veteran of the United States Navy serving during WWII. Glyn was a longtime farmer and rancher in Young County. He was a former Rural Route mail carrier for 40 years in Loving. He was involved in Real Estate for the past 35 years and was the owner of Loftin Realty. Glyn was an active member of First Baptist Church in Graham. He was a 60 year member of Loving Masonic Lodge #917 and served as secretary for 50 years.
Survivors include; wife Judy Loftin of Graham; two step-daughters, Timi Hall of Graham and Vicki Lyons of Newcastle; two step-sons, Kenny Boucher of Arlington and Rick Boucher of Weatherford; brother, Wylie P. Loftin, Jr. of Duncan, OK.; six grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren; several cousins, nieces and nephews also survive.
Glyn was preceded in death by a twin brother, Lynn Loftin.
The family will receive friends Friday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home.
