Gordon Harold Quinn, 71, of Plano, TX suddenly passed away on Thursday, January 12, 2012. A memorial service will be held Thursday, January 19, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in the Morrison Funeral Home Chapel in Graham, TX. He was born on July 19, 1940 to Jewell and Gordon Henry Quinn. He grew up in Graham, Texas. He proudly served in the US Navy from 1958-1962 aboard the USS Bradford. He went on to serve in the Army National Guard of Texas as a sergeant from March 1, 1979 until retiring February 28, 1991. He was a correctional officer with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice until his retirement in 2005.

Gordon was a sweet, gentle soul with a contagious laugh who had a smile and kind word for all who met him. He treasured his favorite pastimes of bowling, playing cards and weekly dominos with his senior citizens group. He will always be remembered by his great sense of humor, simplistic character and extraordinary love for his family and God. We will love and honor him forever.

Those left to cherish Gordon's memory are his daughters Mary and husband Jeff Griffin of Breckenridge, TX, Kellie and husband Jason Garland of Frisco, TX, son Greg Quinn of Breckenridge, TX and daughter-in-law Melissa Moore. Lovingly remembered as "Gramps", he had 7 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren. He is further survived by brothers and their spouses, David and Stephanie Quinn of Dallas, TX, Doug and Ruby Quinn of Newcastle, TX, and sister and brother-in-law, Joanne and Rick Bigham of Lubbock, TX, as well as his beloved nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
