Gracie Loyce Boyle, 97, loving mother and grandmother died Friday, January 21, 2011, at her home in Graham. Funeral services are scheduled at 10:00 a.m., Monday, January 24th, at First United Methodist Church with Dr. Richard Reed, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow at Loving Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.
Mrs. Boyle was born March 23, 1913, on a farm near Jermyn to the late Lee Seth and Ruthie Pearl (Holland) Shaw. She graduated from high school in Loving. She married Weldon T. Boyle on December 24, 1934, in Graham. He preceded her in death on June 21, 2006 after 71 years of marriage.
They lived in the Loving area where she was a homemaker. In 1962, they moved to Graham and joined the First United Methodist Church where she was a long time member of the Kum Duble class.
She is survived by daughters Mitzie Clark and husband Sherman of Houston and Sandra Olsen of Tyler; sons Dwight Boyle and wife Barbara and Wayne Boyle and wife Tara of Graham; sister Eillene Dickens of Fort Worth; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by infant daughter Shirley Yvonne; brothers, Lee Seth, Joseph W. and Joe Bob Shaw; and great-granddaughter Erin Hope Hargrove.
The family will receive friends Sunday, January 23rd from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home.
