Gracie Rhoades, 93 of Graham, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Monday, February 2, 2015, while surrounded by her family and friends in Texarkana. Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 5, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Graham Church of God. Burial will follow in Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.
Gracie was born on July 12, 1921, in Post Oak, Texas. She has always helped others, it was her objective in life. Gracie was steadfast in performing missionary work. No matter where Gracie was she would tell people about Christ, whether it was at the local grocery store, restaurant or throughout the community. She never stopped spreading God's word.
Gracie until the last moment would recite mentally and through lip movement the following:
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life' (KJV, John 3.16)."
Gracie touched numerous people throughout her life by preaching and spreading God's word. She now leaves a legacy of what a loyal dedicated Christian depicts.
