Harold Carter, 80, passed away on Monday, August 15, 2011 in Fort Worth. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 18, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in First Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.
Harold was born on December 5, 1930 in Graham to the late Dick and Alma Thompson Carter. He married Sue Harmon, June 20, 1954 in Goodlett, Texas. Harold served in the Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the VFW Post 8567, National Rifle Association, and the Methodist Church.
Harold was a lifetime resident of Graham. He was a retired transport driver and a farmer.
Survivors include; wife, Sue Carter of Graham; sons, Michael Carter and wife Barbara, David Lynn Carter and wife DeeAnn all of Graham; sister, Doris Dell Kidd of Monahans; brother, Gene Carter and wife Virginia of Midland; six grandchildren, Amber Cook, Michelle Carter, Carrie Ratcliff, Chance, Cody, and Lyndee Carter; three great grandchildren, Ace Ratcliff, Reagan and Colton Carter.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home.
