Harvey Lee Clinton, 90, passed away Saturday, June 8th, at Graham Oaks Care Center, following a long struggle with Alzheimer’s disease. Funeral will be held on Saturday, June 15th, at 11 a.m. at Morrison Funeral Home Chapel in Graham, TX. Burial will follow at Pioneer Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, June 14th, at 6 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.
Beloved father, Papaw and husband, Harvey lived the majority of his life in Graham. He was born near Benjamin, TX on the McFadden Ranch in 1933 to Clarence and Ethel Clinton. The day after graduating from Graham High School, Harvey was inducted into the U.S. Army where he served overseas in the Korean War. After returning home from the service he met and married the love of his life, Betty Wright. They made their home in Fort Worth, TX where he worked at General Dynamics and Howell Instruments. Harvey moved his family back to Graham where he was a plant supervisor for Graham Magnetics and retired as a company vice president. Harvey continued to serve his country as one of the original members of the 6th Brigade, 2nd Texas Homeland Security & Honors Detachment of the American Volunteer Reserve, retiring as a Major in 2014.
Harvey is survived by his wife of 68 years, Betty; daughters, Rhonda and husband Phillip Bryant of Graham; Rhnea and husband Kyle Milam of Graham; and Vandi and husband Don Jacobs of Fort Worth; grandchildren Shelly and husband Jeremy Hazelton of Graham, Melissa and husband Weldon Brooks of Graham, Kayla and Jerid Morgan of Keller, Kurt Milam and fiancé Tessa Romero of Lubbock; great grandchildren Harrison, Natalee, and Madelyn Brooks of Graham, Lyric and Marissa Hazelton of Graham.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Charles Clinton and a sister Wanda Cretsinger.
The family expresses appreciation for the care of Harvey to Dr. Pete Brown, Graham Oaks Care Center, and Beyond Faith Hospice.
