Hazel Virginia Mabry

Hazel Virginia Mabry, 89, passed away Thursday, March 11, 2010 in Wichita Falls. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, March 16, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in the City of Lubbock Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.

Hazel was born on January 25, 1921 in Hopkins County, Texas to the late Lester Wallace and Beulah Hortense (Mitchell) Woods. She married Clay H. Mabry on November 29, 1945 in Lubbock. He preceded her in death in 1983. Hazel moved to Newcastle in 1973 from Lubbock and she was a Nurses Aide for 22 years.

Survivors include: son, Ira Inscore and wife, Clemmie of Newcastle; sisters, Joyce Martin of Hurst and Mickie Holden of Purcell, Oklahoma; brothers, Harold Woods of Big Spring and Cotton Woods of Ohio; grandchildren, Crystal Moody, Laurel Inscore, Karl Inscore, Michael Laney, and Shanna Powell; several great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and great-great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a son, Charles Inscore and a great-great grandson, Avery Moody.
