Helen Myrtle Blanton

Helen Myrtle Blanton, 94, passed away Tuesday, October 11, 2011 in Sherman, Texas. A Visitation will be held Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home. A Graveside funeral will be held Friday, October 14, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. in Restland Cemetery in Dallas. Arrangements are under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home in Graham.

Helen was born July 19, 1917 in Dutch Creek, Arkansas. She married Frank Neal Blanton, Sr. in 1942 in Little Rock, Arkansas. He preceded her in death, April 11, 1987. Helen moved to Dallas in 1950. She was a member of Lovers Lane United Methodist Church in Dallas and a Homemaker.

Survivors include; daughter, Barbara Ann Crowdus of Colbart Boat Club, Oklahoma; son, Neal Blanton and wife Kathy of Graham; five grandchildren, Chris Blanton and wife Emery of Graham, Loren Frey and husband Kevin of Wadsworth, Ohio, Robert Crowdus of Plano, Cassie Hanna and husband Daniel of Farmersville, and Kristen Crowdus of Plano; sister, Johnnie Cohen of North Little Rock, Arkansas; five great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive. Helen was preceded in death by four sisters and two brothers.
