Helen L. McElreath

Helen L. (Hogan) McElreath, 76, passed away Friday, March 4, 2016 in Waco, Texas. Funeral will be Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at 2:30 p.m. in Morrison Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.

Helen was born April 4, 1939 in Leonard, Oklahoma to the late Virgil and Lois Cook Hogan. She married James Dorsey McElreath, Jr., June 17, 1960. After their marriage ended Helen went to work for Reliance Telecommunications of Euless where she worked until her retirement. She loved spending time with her family and watching all the activities of her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She was a loving daughter, sister, mother, aunt, and Nana.

Survivors include: three daughters, Brenda Proctor and husband Ray of McGregor, Terry Love and husband John of Arlington, Angie Moore and husband Mark of McGregor; sister, Dorothy Burns of Buena Park, CA.; brother, Jimmy Hogan and wife Jane of Graham; sister-in-law, Ruth Hogan Neal of Irving; nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren; also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

Helen was preceded in death by a brother, Rayburn V. Hogan and a sister Betty McElreath.

The family will be at Morrison Funeral Home Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon to greet friends.
