Howard Hunter, 85, passed away Friday, March 25, 2011 in Weatherford. Funeral services will be held Monday, March 28, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the Morrison Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.
Howard was born October 1, 1925 in Graham to the late Bob Boyd and Mary Lillian Craft Hunter. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He married Loretta Faye Smith in 1942 in Graham. She preceded him in death on December 10, 1985. Howard had worked in the oilfield and retired from Hexcel Corporation as a machine operator. He married Annie Mae Erwin March 17, 1986 in Graham. He was a lifetime resident of Graham.
Survivors include; wife, Annie Hunter of Graham; daughters, Margaret Slater and husband Benny of Graham and Kathy Borden and husband Jerry of Graham; eight grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren one great great grandchild.
Howard was preceded in death by a daughter, Winnona Adams and a son Warren Hunter
