Inez "Mimi" Davenport Moore

Inez "Mimi" Davenport Moore, 99, passed away Wednesday, July 8, 2009 in Graham. Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 11, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. in the First United Methodist Church in Graham. Burial will follow in Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.

Inez was born on July 19, 1909 in Ranger to the late Albert Sydney and Lona Maud (Johnson) Davenport. She married Albert George Moore on May 24, 1935 in Wichita Falls. He preceded her in death on January 21, 1984. Inez was a charter organizing class member for Ranger Junior College in Ranger and attended Business College in St. Louis, MO. She moved to Graham in 1960 from Abilene and she was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Graham.

Survivors include: sons, Buster Lee "Buddy" Moore of Graham and John Albert Moore of Flower Mound; daughter, Marilyn Moore McMillan of Lubbock; 9 grandchildren, Allison McMillan, Scott Allan McMillan, and Alicia Ann McMillan Holligan all of Lubbock, Jennifer Joyer Chappell and Leigh Ann Joyer Gallaher both of Graham, Lisa Moore Bonilla of Midlothian, Andrea Moore Schmid of Lindale, Texas, Katy Moore Seitzler of Plano and Carole Ann Moore Rose of Edmund, Oklahoma; 14 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Roy Pat Moore in 1936, a daughter, Karolyn Joyer in 1981, three sisters, Olive E. Davenport Watt, Wilma Davenport Tooley, and Lalla Louise Davenport Woods, and three brothers, C. Morris Davenport, Rev. Lester Davenport, and Dr. Alton Davenport.

The family request memorials may be made to Graham Regional Hospice or the First United Methodist Church in Graham.

The family will receive friends on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
