John M. "Jack" Evans,74, passed away Saturday, July 6, 2013 in Graham. A Graveside funeral will be held Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. in Gooseneck Cemetery in Young County. Arrangements are under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.
Jack was born July 9, 1938 in Des Moines, Iowa to the late Charles C. and Marie Baumgartner Evans. Jack was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He was a retired postal worker and a long haul truck driver.
Survivors include; Betty M. Hall of Graham; sons, John M. Evans, Jr. of Graham, Lee Wayne Evans of Seattle, WA.; daughters, Linda Evans of New York, Patti Grosch and husband David of Abilene, and Pam Dake and husband, Jeff of Graham; brother, Charles C. Evans of Des Moines, Iowa; eleven grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and 5 great great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Larry Evans.
