James Albert Brammer, 82, passed away Thursday, August 13, 2015 in Graham. Funeral services will be held Sunday, August 16, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in Morrison Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.
Jim was born February 9, 1933 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to the late Ulysses J. & Jessie (Carlin) Brammer of Odessa. He worked his entire adult life in the "oil patch" and was respected by his peers for his knowledge in gas measurement. He loved to hunt and fish and compete in Bar-B-Que Cook-offs. He was known for his quick wit and sense of humor.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Jake Brammer; his sister, Alice Marie Johnson; his son, James Albert Brammer, Jr, and daughter, Robin Mahan.
He is survived by his wife, Viola of Graham; three sons, Richard and wife, Sharon of Abilene, Jeff and wife, Kelly of Midland and John Mahan of Graham; two daughters, Susan Diane Brammer Wooten and husband, Bill of Odessa and Malinda Mahan of Abilene. He also leaves behind 19 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
Family visitation will be held Saturday from 6 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
