James Cory Burrus

James Cory Burrus, 34, passed away Friday, September 4, 2015 in Palo Pinto County.  Memorial services will be held Saturday, September 12, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the Cowboy Church Gatherin'.  Arrangements are under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.

Cory was born July 14, 1981 in Eldorado, Texas to James Claude and Mary Delise (Delleney) Burrus.  He married Shayna Marie Dake July 27, 2014 in Graham.  Cory was an employee at The Cliffs at Possum Kingdom and a member of the Cowboy Church Gatherin'.

Survivors include: wife, Shayna Marie Burrus of Breckenridge; daughter, Kylie Elaine Burrus of Lubbock; parents, Jamey and Delise Burrus of Graham; sister, Marsalee Christine Breakfield of Eva Beach, Hawaii; brothers, Billy John Burrus of El Paso and William Delleney Burrus of Graham; grandparents, Marsalee J. Delleney of Graham and Gwendolyn R. Burrus Cole of Stephenville.

He was preceded in death by grandparents, William "Bill" H. Delleney and John Edwin Burrus.
