Jimmy Rogers

James “Jimmy” Everett Rogers, age 61, passed away at his home in Graham on Thursday, January 26, 2023. Funeral service will be 11:00 AM Monday, January 30, 2023 at Oak Street Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.

Jimmy was born on March 19, 1961 in Wichita Falls to James and Fredna (Ruth) Rogers. He grew up in Graham and attended Graham High School where he met his sweetheart, Vonna Birdwell. They married in Graham on March 21, 1980. Together they had 2 sons, Kyle and Chad. Jimmy was a dedicated and treasured member of the Young County Masonic Lodge #485, where he served as secretary since 2011. He was also a 32° Scottish Rite Mason. He worked for 31 years as a production superintendent at Karper Oil and Gas. He loved Nascar, camping, and boating. Jimmy never met a stranger, he brought a smile to the face of everyone who crossed his path.

Jimmy is survived by his wife, Vonna Rogers of Graham; sons, Kyle Rogers and wife Rachel of Graham, Chad Rogers and wife Courtney of Keller; grandson, Harrison James Rogers; mother, Fredna Rogers; sister, Arleta Ford of Graham.

He is preceded in death by his father, James Rogers, and grandparents, Fred and Beulah Ruth, and Bart and Hazel Rogers.

Visitation will be 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM Sunday, January 29, 2023 at Morrison Funeral Home.
