James Alfred "Jim" Willis

James Alfred "Jim" Willis, 75, passed away Saturday, March 8, 2014 at his home. Funeral service will be Monday, March 10, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Eastside Church of Christ. Burial will follow in Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.

Jim was born September 30, 1938 in Graham to the late Alfred Keener Willis and Toye Lois Hughes Willis. He graduated from Graham High School, Abilene Christian University and received his Masters from North Texas University. Jim married Myrle Woody, December 17, 1960 in Rankin, Texas. He was Athletic Director, Principal, Coach and Teacher at several school districts in Texas and retired from Graham Independent School District. Jim was a longtime member of Eastside Church of Christ.

Survivors include; wife, Myrle Willis of Graham; daughters, Alisa Gail Oswalt of Abernathy, Sonia Gaye Oxford and husband Jimmy of Decatur, and Shelley Ann Clark of Graham; grandchildren, Amy Oxford Chabek and husband Brandon, Sara Oxford, Emily Oxford, Brittany Clark Davis and husband Chris, Rachel Clark and fiance' Kolt Shepherd, Jamie Clark, Taylor Oswalt, and Walt Oswalt; great grandchildren, Ella James-Marie Chabek and Kyler Davis.

Jim was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Stringer.

The family will at the funeral home Sunday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. to greet friends.

The family asks that Memorials be made to Eastside Church of Christ.
