Jacquelyn “Jackie” Faye-Nell (Walden) Smith, 78, passed away on Tuesday, January 9, 2024 in Amarillo. The family will receive friends for a visitation on Monday, January 15, 2024 in Morrison Funeral Home Chapel from 1:00 pm until service time. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM in Morrison Funeral Home Chapel. 

Jackie was born in Graham, TX on January 27, 1945 to the late James and Lillie Mae (Goree) Walden. She married James Lewis “J.L.” Smith on February 26, 1965 in Roswell, New Mexico, and he preceded her in death on July 15, 2016.

Jackie worked as a legal secretary while raising her family. Jackie always had a love for crafting and operated her own business JK Heartstrings for many years with homemade jewelry, craft projects, and antiques. She sewed clothes, blankets, and bears for her grandchildren and great grandchildren who lovingly knew her as Nana. Later in life she had a love for painting and crocheting, and loved to create things for her family and friends. She passed on her love of crafting to the next 3 generations.

Jackie is survived by her daughters, Kelly Jordan of Amarillo, and Kimberly Deaton and husband Robert of Amarillo; 5 grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and son, Randy Smith.
