Jerry Don Aylor

Jerry Don Aylor, 67, passed away Tuesday, December 29, 2015 in Young County.  Funeral services will be held Sunday, January 3, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the Cowboy Church Gatherin'.  Burial will follow in Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.

Jerry was born October 23, 1948 in Bonham to the late John Leroy and Opal Pearl (Mendenhall) Aylor.  He was a resident of Graham since 1980.  Jerry worked in the oil fields for 25 years and eight years as a guard in a federal prison.  He was a veteran of the United States Army serving  in Vietnam from 1968 to 1970 where he received 3 purple hearts.  The love of his life was raising his two kids and all the good times he shared with each other.

Survivors include: daughter, Tonya Aylor of Graham; son, Johnny Aylor and wife, Allison of Graham; grandson, Austin Aylor of Graham; friend and mother of children, Rhonda Clark Aylor Terrill and husband, Feltz of De Leon; sisters, Mary Browning of Archer City and Barbara West and husband, Andy of Olney.

He was preceded in death by a grandson, Riley Thor Aylor, brothers, Billy, Troy, and Danny Aylor and sister, Patricia Ann McDonald.

Family visitation will be held Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
