Jerry Byars

Jerry Byars, 61, died Saturday, January 9, 2010 in Graham. A Memorial service will be held Tuesday, January 12, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in Morningside Baptist Church with Reverend Dan McBride, pastor officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.

Jerry was born on January 6, 1949 in Abilene, Texas to the late Ira Joe and Ollie Chase Byars. He graduated from Graham High School and attended The University of Texas at Arlington. He married Jeannie Hazelton, October 3, 1969 in Graham. Jerry was a member of Morningside Baptist Church and a longtime resident of Graham.

Survivors include; wife, Jeannie Byars of Graham; sister, Sandra Goehring of Graham; brother, Paul Byars of Manilla, Philippines; several nieces and nephews also survive.

The family will be at Morrison Funeral Home Monday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. to greet friends.
