Jerry Cunningham

Geraldine "Jerry" Cunningham, 84, passed away Wednesday, December 5, 2012 in Denton. Graveside service will be held Friday, December 7, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. in Pioneer Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.

Jerry was born June 23, 1928 in Lake Arthur, Louisiana to Bernese Samuel and Gwen Lois (Lyons) Marquart. She married John D. Cunningham October 14, 1951 in Metairie, Louisiana. He preceded her in death June 13, 1994. Jerry graduated from University of Southwestern Louisiana and moved to Graham in 1976. She was a member of First Baptist Church and was a substitute teacher at Graham ISD. She moved to Denton in 2008.

Survivors include: daughters, Jane Parsons and husband, Tim of Graham, Ann Johnston and husband, Sonny of Sugarland, and Lee Parker and husband, Marc of Denton; sister, Jean Keller and husband, Bob of Montgomery; grandchildren, Katy Johnston, Tim Parsons, II, Hale Johnston, and Rece Parker.

Memorials may be made to Cook's Children, First Baptist Church in Graham, American Heart Association, or charity of your choice.
