Jerry Mack Gibbs

Jerry Mack Gibbs, 87, passed away Wednesday January 8, 2025 at his home in Burleson, Texas. Graveside funeral will be 12:00 Noon Saturday, January 18, 2025 in Newcastle Cemetery. 

Jerry was born January 11, 1937 to the late Ethel Bell Trammell Gibbs and Henry Coleman Gibbs in the house where his father was born near Orth, Texas. He was the youngest of five children. He graduated from Newcastle High School in 1955. Jerry married Georgie Thornbrue, October 13, 1967 in Tyler, Texas. 

Survivors include; wife of 57 years, Georgie Gibbs of Burleson; daughters, Kimberly Ann Wilie and husband Michael of Fort Worth and Katrina Renee Granat and husband Mark of Israel; son, Jason Shane Gibbs and wife Kalyn of Cleburne and nine grandchildren, Haley Rickett, Rebekah and Joseph Rickett, Ashlee Richardson, Alissa Gibbs, Kade and Kenneth Decker, Taylor Clark and Austin Wilie and great grandchild Gage Downing; brother Floyd Andrew Gibbs of Newcastle. 

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Emma Lou Farmer and brothers, John Henry Gibbs and Allan Gibbs.
