Jewel Dean Freeman

Jewel Dean Freeman, 94, passed away Monday, April 1, 2013 in Graham. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in Morrison Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Medlan Chapel Cemetery in Young County under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.

Jewel was born December 31, 1918 in Kansas City, Missouri to the late James Wesley and Bettie Franklin (Green) Alexander. She married H.S. "Buck" Freeman August 11, 1936 in Graham. He preceded her in death August 17, 1985. Jewel was a homemaker and actively involved in Salem Crestview United Methodist Church.

Survivors include: daughters, Barbara Hunnewell of Graham and Kay Clayborn of Graham; 12 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and 6 great great grandchildren; 3 nephews and many dear friends.

She was preceded in death by son Kenneth Freeman in 1989 and daughter Bettie Freeman in 2007.

Memorials may be made to Solaris Hospice or Salem Crestview United Methodist Church.
