Jimmy Bullock Wray, 83, passed away on Tuesday, April 12, 2011 in Graham. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 15, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in First Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Wray Cemetery in Young County under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.
Jimmy was born on February 9, 1928 in Graham to the late James Oscar and Florence Estelle (Bullock) Wray. He married Louise Senkel on June 6, 1953 in Graham. Jimmy graduated from Newcastle High School and was a Veteran of the United States Army. He was a self employed builder, farmer, rancher, member of the Assembly of God Church in Newcastle. He was also an Inventor, holding several patents including Pick-a-Matic Pecan Picker and the Push-a-Matic Gate System.
Survivors include: wife, Louise Wray of Graham; daughter, Dedo Mitchell and husband, Preston of North Richland Hills; sons, Randy Wray and wife, Jonni and Rick Wray and wife, Mary Beth both of Graham; sisters, Joyce Williams of Graham and Geraldine Dooley of Plano; grandchildren, Whitney Mitchell, Mandy Wray, Mallory Mitchell, Jon Wray, Logan Wray, Cameron Mitchell and April Wray.
The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
