JoAnn Moore Stroud

JoAnn Moore Stroud, 75, passed away Sunday, March 29, 2009 in Dallas. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 1, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in Morrison Funeral Home Chapel with Dorman Holub, pastor of Eastside Church of Christ, officiating. Burial will follow in Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.
JoAnn was born on August 30, 1933 in Sassenbranch, Texas to the late Homer Austin Moore, Jr. and Ruby Mae (Flatt) Moore. She married Danny Dail Stroud on August 30, 1952 in Jean. He preceded her in death on December 25, 1985. JoAnn was a Realtor and retired to stay home and enjoy her grandchildren. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. JoAnn loved her family, liked to paint and draw, and loved to dance. She loved to cook for her loved ones and all of her cooking healed their hearts when they were sad or sick. JoAnn loved to spend time with her grand dog Sydni Jo.
Survivors include; daughters, Lisa Ann Bishop and Sherri Lynn Durham; sons, Danny Dail Stroud Jr. and Jon Robert Stroud; sister, Gloria F. Scott; grandchildren, Stacia Lynn Disch, Micah Joel Oxford, Jodi Melisa Bishop, Joseph Dail Bishop, Jenifer Morine LeFrance, Danny Dail Stroud III, Cary Ann Stroud, Jon Robert Stroud Jr., Erica Schloss, Scott Rogers, and Norman Bud Weddle; great grandchildren; Kelsi Lynn Belk, Kalob Alan Bishop, Hunter Austin Oxford, Jalen Rachad Smith, Devyn Dail Stroud, Taylor Alexis McCoy, Chancelor Dane Webster, Elias Lee LeFrance Jr., Tyler Russel Weddle, and Hannah Naomi Weddle.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Janice Faye Stroud, sister, Wanda Gae Noles, and brother, Homer Austin Moore III.
