JoAnn Whittenburg, 86, entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Wednesday, August 2, 2023 in Graham. Graveside funeral will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday August 5, 2023 at Gooseneck Cemetery in Young County. Arrangements are under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.
JoAnn was born August 2, 1937 in Aubrey, Texas to the late Clayton “Bill” Kirby and Naomi Kirby Osburn. She was preceded in death by her first husband Lewis Tovaas in 1972. JoAnn was a former bookkeeper for several individuals in Graham and a Homemaker. She married Sam Whittenburg, August 3, 1973 in Fort Worth, he preceded her in death on February 19, 2021.
Survivors include; daughters, Carol Smith and David of Graham, Loene Tovaas and Grace of San Angelo, and Cathy Ratto and Randy of Graford; sons, Leon Tovaas and Jessie of Granbury, Rodney Tovaas and Michael of Flower Mound, and Kenny Whittenburg and Tammy of Newcastle; ten grandchildren; two brothers and six sisters also survive.
JoAnn was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands and a brother.
Family Visitation will be Friday August 4, 2023 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home.
