John Michael Hogan

John Michael Hogan entered this world on December 15, 1939, and departed his loved ones on February 16, 2011. Mike, as he was known to family and friends, was 71 years old. Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 21, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the First Baptist Church. Burial will follow at 3:30 p.m. in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Fort Worth under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.

Mike was a native Texan, born in Ft. Worth, graduated from Paschal High School and then attended Texas Christian University. He began his career at TU Electric in 1958 and retired after 38 years. He served our country in the Air Force Reserves. He was a calf roper in high school, and later enjoyed scuba diving, fishing, hunting and golf. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Graham, TX.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents; Guy Byron and Agnes Sims Hogan and his brother, Guy Patrick Hogan.

Mike is survived by his wife of 50 years, Patricia Ann, whom he loved more than life, his three children; daughter Sherrill Swaim and her husband Wayne, daughter Cyndi Ryan and her husband Joe, and son Joey Hogan and his wife Elicia. He had four grandchildren; Ashley and Matthew Perkins, Jeb and Baylee Hogan, and two step grandchildren, Katie Ryan and Kelly Denton, her husband and children. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Mildred Hogan and his niece and nephew, Jane and Jon, their families, and his many friends.

In lieu of flowers the family asks for contributions to Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

The family will receive friends on Sunday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
