Joyce Barnett

Joyce Barnett, 84, passed away Saturday, May 11, 2013 in Graham. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. in the Graham Church of God. Burial will follow in Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.

Joyce was born May 29, 1928 in Murray to the late Leonard E. and Zela Elizabeth (Yarbrough) Shifflett. She married George Henry Barnett October 16, 1943 in Graham. He preceded her in death October 24, 2007. Joyce was a lifetime resident of Young County and a member of the Graham Church of God where she was a Sunday School teacher, youth leader, and active in women's ministries .

Survivors include: daughters, Lana Edwards and husband, Jessie of Newcastle and Tisha Daily and husband, Clint of Loving; sons, Danny Barnett and wife Pat of Graham, Gary Barnett and wife, Judy, Kent Barnett and wife, Vicki, and Keith Barnett and wife, Delana all of Graham; 13 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and 8 great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by granddaughter, Traci Edwards, great granddaughter, Lindsay Ingram, great great grandson, Trenten Ingram Rainwater, four sisters, and four brothers.

Memorials may be made to Graham Church of God.

Family visitation will be held Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
