Joyce Booker Cole

Joyce Booker Cole, 82, of Possum Kingdom Lake, passed away Monday, December 1, 2014 in Graham. Funeral services are scheduled for 2pm Thursday, December 4, 2014 at the Morrison Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Pioneer Cemetery.

Joyce was born February 18, 1932 in Maude, Oklahoma to the late Estel and Ruby (Finley) Singleton. She married David Cole on June 3, 1994 in Champaign, Illinois. She was a talented musician, especially piano and had written several songs. Our beloved mother was the most generous person we've ever known. She fed, clothed and sheltered all beyond her own needs. She was an ordained minister, but her whole life was a ministry to mankind. Mom taught all who knew her about faith and the love of the holy spirit and Jesus Christ. Mom lived her life and taught her kids about priorities of life, stress being at the bottom of the list.

Survivors: husband, David Cole; daughters, Theresa DuPey and husband Greg; Denise Fajardo and husband John; Chrystal Abrahamson; Rebecca Cole; sons, Stephen Paden and wife Judy; Joel Burroughs; Tye Booker and wife Lori; Steve Booker; Andrew Cole; sister, Mary Singleton; brother, Darrell Singleton. Nine grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren also survive.

Joyce was preceded in death by a son Johnny Lee Paden, sister, Willa Faye Singleton, and brothers, John Paul Singleton, Joseph Delmer Singleton, Curtis Thomas Singleton, Gary Dale Singleton, and Aaron Singleton.
