Juanita Gilmore

Juanita Gilmore, 87, passed away Saturday December 14, 2024 in Graham. Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. to 11: a.m. Thursday December 19, 2024 at Morrison Funeral Home. Graveside service will follow at Pioneer Cemetery.

 Juanita was born January 6, 1937 in Grayson County TX to the late Avis Pearl (Bruce) Pilcher and Lewis Robinson Pilcher. She married Royce Gilmore, February 8, 1956 in Gainesville TX. She has lived off and on in Graham since 1958. Juanita was a member of Salem Crestview United Methodist Church in Graham. 

Juanita was known for her beautiful singing voice and love of gospel music. She would sing for hours until her voice gave out. Even in her later years the nurses would come get her from her room to serenade the floor with Elvis Presley tunes. 

 Survivors include; husband, Royce Gilmore of Graham; daughter, Cindy Blackwell of Brownwood; son, Jackie Gilmore and wife Allison of Granbury; grandchildren, Chris Gauntt and wife Casey, Brandon Gauntt and wife Tabitha, Zachary Blackwell and wife Rachel, and Amanda Stuard and husband Chris; 14 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren; brother, Don Pilcher of McKinney.

 Juanita was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Wanda Kidd, and a son-in-law, Mark Blackwell.
