Julia Juanema (Gillmore) Watson, 88, of Graham, Texas passed away Friday, May 6, 2011 in Graham. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 10, 2011 at Pioneer cemetery with Dr. Richard Reed minister of First Methodist Church officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.

Julia was born November 24, 1922 in Palo Pinto county, Texas to the late Hugh And Ella Caroline (Chick) Gilmore. She married Harold Herbert Watson October 26, 1943 in Fort Worth, Texas. He preceded her in death on April 22, 2008. Julia worked as a civil service clerk for the Rationing Board and as a secretary to a lawyer. She was a charter member of the women's club, former member of the Band Boosters and a former Community Concert associate member. She was a charter member of the Memorial Christian Church, having been the co-founder along with Barbara Burk of the Memorial Christian Kindergarten. Julia taught for 13 years in the music, art and bookkeeping department. The school grew to an enrollment of 70+ students. She sang in the choir for 45 years and taught Sunday School for 16 years. While a member of the church she served in the Fellowship Chair, Education Chair, Outreach Chair and as an elder for 10 years. She worked at the Graham Food Bank for 13 years, served on the property committee and helped establish and continued planting and maintaining the Living Garden Sanctuary.

Survivors; daughters, Judy Woolfolk and husband Joe of Frisco; Phyllis Casteel of Graham; sisters, Madene Corgill of Vernon, Lynda Fenter of Jacksboro; three grandchildren, Jason Woolfolk and wife Brandy, Damon and Niki Casteel. Numerous nieces, nephews and grand nieces and nephews also survive. A brother, Royce Gilmore and a son-in-law, Rick Casteel preceded her in death.

Memorials may be made to Graham Regional Hospice, 523 Elm Graham, Texas 76450.

Family visitation will be Monday 6 until 8 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home.
