June Marie Thetford Lankford, 88, died Thursday, August 5, 2010 in Graham. Funeral is scheduled Monday, August 9, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in Morrison Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Ladd Johnston of Faith Center Assembly of God Church officiating. Burial will follow in Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.
June was born June 23, 1922 in Graham, Texas to the late Rufus and Martha Safronie Thompson Thetford. She married L.L. "Tobe" Lankford, November 6, 1942 in Graham. He preceded her in death on July 11, 1986. June was a longtime resident of Graham and a former employee of the City of Graham in the water department. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Graham.
Survivors include; daughter, Sandra Jo Rutherford and husband Wayne of Fort Worth; son, Dan Lankford and wife Elaine of Graham; five grandchildren; Priscilla Cusenbary, Burgess Lankford, Tobi Jo Laing, Ragen Reed, and Sidney Rutherford; five great grandchildren, Grant Cusenbary, Lili and Heidi Cusenbary, Landri Jo Laing, and Lincoln Laing; several nieces and nephews also survive.
June was preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters.
The family will be at Morrison Funeral Home Sunday from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. to greet friends and family.
