Kathy Friend

Your friend and mine, Kathy J. Friend, passed away on Thursday, December 8, 2022. She was born on July 4, 1951 in Ottumwa, IA to Charlie and Milly Mote.

Kathy is survived by her loving husband of 36 years Joe; daughters Caroline (Jason), Robin (Mark) and Kitna (Mike); grandchildren Brianna, Addison, Eric (Ashley), Bailey (Kyle) and Hayden; sisters Judy and Peggy (John); and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her son Tony, parents Charlie and Milly, sister Linda.

Kathy was a kind and caring soul, who always put the needs of others before her own. Born a firecracker, sitting still was never something she did well. Though she made every day special, the holidays were where she shined, especially Christmas. Kathy was a member of the Waynedale Chapter #600, Order of the Eastern Star and recently retired from First State Bank in Graham, TX.

Her family is expressly grateful to both Hilda and Cindy with Christus Hospice Central Texas.

Memorial service to take place on January 7, 2023, at 11:00 am at Morrison Funeral Home, 700 Oak Street, Graham, TX.

In lieu of flowers, Kathy asked that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the American Lung Association.
