Kathy Whiteley

Kathy Irene Whiteley, 64 years old, entered the gates of Heaven on Saturday morning, June 10th, 2023 surrounded by family. Kathy was born on March 19, 1959 to the late Wesley B. and Alice I. Mills.  God led her to marry the love of her life, David Whiteley on December 10, 2004, together they enjoyed 18 years of life’s adventures from traveling the world together to working cattle at the ranch.

Kathy is survived by her husband, David and children, Allison Cooley and husband Michael of Clyde and children: Jordon, Sarah, Cayman, Ansynn, Kailen, Logann, and Zylen of Clyde;  Kristina Martin and husband Vincent of Graham and three sons Casen, Camren, and Carter of Graham;  Bobby Riley and wife Sarah and children Lucas and Addison of Newcastle and Rebeca Whiteley and children Dallas and Ireland of Graham, sister Janetta Moore and  husband Wesley of Iowa Park, sister in law Carol Mills of Hallsville, special nephew Brent Mills and wife Roni and children Wesley, Sam, Dan, and Meadow of Woodson, many nieces and nephews, and special friends. 

Kathy had a big spirit and brought laughter and adventure wherever she went.   Her smile was as big as Texas, and she had a servant’s heart that matched.  She loved life, adventures, and her grandchildren.  She could be found at the ranch nurturing livestock, adventuring with David, cooking for others, or at the lake enjoying her grandchildren.  

A Celebration of life will be held in the Chapel of Morrison Funeral Home of Graham on Wednesday, June 14, 2023 at 10 a.m.  Graveside service to follow at Pioneer Cemetery.  Visitation will be held Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Young County Humane Society.
