Kathryn Lucille "Kay" Whitledge, 92, passed away on Friday, June 29, 2012 in Atlanta, Georgia. Graveside services will be held on Friday, July 6, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. in Pioneer Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.
Kay was born on August 6, 1919 in Mobile, Alabama to the late James Monroe and Velma Lucille (Sellers) Kennedy. She married Clyde Whitledge on April 14, 1949 in Chickasha, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on February 21, 2003. Kay graduated from the University of Oklahoma and received her Master's Degree in Psychology from University of Oklahoma. She did protective services for children for the state of Texas and managed the office of 1 Graham Place, for over ten years. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Graham, DAR, Eastern Star, and Women's Club in Graham.
Survivors include: son, Dru Whitledge of Louisville, CO; daughter, Dana Whitledge and husband, Eric Weber of Decatur, GA; grandchildren, Daniel Weber and Maria Weber both of Decatur, GA.
