Kent Johnson

Kent Duane Johnson of Payson, AZ died on June 16, 2015 in Bellemont, AZ at the age of 57.  A Memorial Service will be held at 11am on Saturday July 18, 2015 at Faith Lutheran Church in Graham, TX.  Burial will follow at Pioneer Cemetery.

Kent was born April 7, 1958 in Kimball, NE to Larry and Mavis Magill.  He, along with his sister Terry, suffered the loss of their father, Larry Duane Magill, in a car accident when he was only 5 months old.  Kent's mother married Troy W. Johnson in 1959 and later Kent became a big brother to sisters Brenda and Cindy.

Kent was baptized at St. John's Lutheran Church in Kimball, NE.  He moved with his family to Graham, TX and was confirmed at Faith Lutheran Church in Graham, TX.  He graduated from Graham High School in 1976 and did attend Weatherford College.  He lived and worked in many places across the US and settled in Payson, AZ.  Kent enjoyed camping in the mountains, fishing and especially the great outdoors.

Kent is preceded in death by his fathers Larry D Magill and Troy W. Johnson, nephew Donnie Lynn Hargrave, grandparents Ray and Francis Magill, Fred and Eleanor Wittrock and Franklin and Lona Pearl Rylant, and aunts, uncles and cousins.

Kent is survived by his mother, Mavis Johnson of Graham, TX; sisters: Terry Bryan and husband Tim of Wichita Falls, TX, Brenda Mullins and husband Mitch of Graham, TX, and Cindy Heathcoat and husband BJ of Granbury, TX; nephews: Terry Hargrave, Jason Mullins and wife Stacie, and Stetson Heathcoat; nieces: Bridget Noey and husband Jeremy, Kellye Borrego and husband Manuel, Meredith Barnes and husband Jason, Caris Veitenheimer and husband Blake, Shannon Poutinen and husband Ryan, Krisha Jones and husband Derek, and Sheryce Baggett; nineteen great nieces and nephews; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
