Larry was born February 17, 1948 in Waco, Texas to the late Grover and Millie (Billington) Hollingsworth. His family moved to Austin where spent his childhood and attended McCallum High School. He enlisted with the military and was a valiant veteran of the United States Army. Larry married Suzanne Marshall January 31, 1981 in Dallas.
Larry was an avid baseball fan who played for the University of Texas Longhorns while studying finance. He then moved to Dallas where he worked in banking, then became an institutional investment stockbroker with several firms.
The family enjoyed a lake house on Possum Kingdom Lake. Larry and Suzanne eventually sold their lake house, bought land, built a home and raised longhorns—Larry’s dream realized.
