LaVerne Walker Porter

LaVerne Walker Porter, 59, of Breckenridge, passed away Saturday, May 2, 2015 in Breckenridge. Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, May 9, 2015 at 2:00pm at Faith Center Assembly of God Church in Graham. Burial will follow at Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.

LaVerne was born December 25, 1955 in Wichita Falls, Texas to the late James and Laverne (Mason) Walker. LaVerne was a former employee of Garden Terrace Healthcare Center for 20 years, and a former employee of Graham Magnetics Incorporated. She graduated from Hirschi High School in Wichita Falls in 1974.

Survivors include: daughter; LaQuisha Walker of Breckenridge, sons; Chauncey D. Walker  and Billy W. Walker both of Graham, brothers; Joseph Walker of Brownwood, Jerry Walker, Jimmy  Walker and Herman Hines all of Wichita Falls, the father of her children, Billy Porter of Midland,  grandchildren; Galon Walker, Juan Walker, Denishea Walker, Chauncey Walker, Jr., Deven Mullens, Ray Mullens, and Elysia Wood.

Family visitation will be held Friday from 6 until 8pm at Morrison Funeral Home.
