Lawrence W. Hardin

Lawrence W. Hardin, 92, passed away Tuesday, November 15, 2016 in Wichita Falls. Funeral will be held, Thursday, November 17, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. in Morrison Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Newcastle Cemetery.

Lawrence was born November 7, 1924 in Belknap, Texas to the late Claude Belton and Nellie Beatrice (Cutts) Hardin. He married Mary Kathryn Atwood, in 1950 in Breckenridge. She preceded him in death on September 22, 1978. Lawrence was a veteran of world War II serving the Army. He was a former employee of Young County ASCS and a lifetime resident of Young County where he farmed and ranched.

Survivors include: companion, Juanita Villereal; nephews, Chuck Gibbs and wife Mona, Bruce Gibbs and wife Jeane, Ricky Clayborn and wife Nancy; great nephew and nieces, Chance Gibbs, Courtney Gibbs, Katy Landoll, Jennifer Atkins, and Amy Clayborn; and great-great niece and nephew, Emmalyn and Weston Atkins.

Lawrence was preceded in death by two sisters, Martha Gibbs and Arvilla Clayborn.
