Lee Whitson

L.V. "Lee" Whitson, 78, passed away Thursday, November 26, 2009 in Graham. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, November 29, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. in the First Baptist Church with Gary Tull of Graham officiating. Burial will follow in Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.

Lee was born on April 9, 1931 in Fort Belknap to the late John Howard Averett and Laura Mae Daniels. She married W.R. "Bob" Whitson on September 10, 1948 in Iowa Park. He preceded her in death on November 1, 1997. Lee owned and operated The Hut in Graham for 35 years and was a member of the First Baptist Church.

Survivors include: daughter, Tinna Robertson and husband George of Graham; son, Kelly Whitson of Arlington; five grandchildren; Bill Robertson and wife Teri, Keith Robertson, Dan Robertson and wife Kerry, Leann Robertson, and Amanda Whitson; two great grandchildren, William Reece and Tori Paige Robertson.

She was preceded in death by a son, Billy Bob Whitson, two sisters Lillian Vandergriff and Johnnie Mae Moren, and brother J.D. Averett.
