Leon Edward Cathey

Leon Edward Cathey, 70, passed away in Graham, Saturday, January 22, 2011. A memorial service will be held Thursday, January 27, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in the Barrack at Fort Belknap in Young County with Steve Fontenot of Humble, Texas officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.

Leon was born November 4, 1940 in Hobbs, New Mexico to the late Q D and Dorothy (Beever) Cathey. He married Patsy Bogs, October 12, 1985 in Humble, Texas. Leon was a former resident of The Colony, Texas moving back to Graham in 2007. He was the minister of Hillside Church of Christ in Graham.

Survivors include; wife, Patsy Cathey of Graham; daughter, Tracey L. Cathey of Lago Vista; son, Roy V. Cathey of Dripping Springs; brothers, Carl Cathey of West Point, MS. and Fred Cathey of Aurora, IL.; four grandchildren also survive.

Leon was preceded in death by son, Mark E. Cathey in 2006.
