Leshya Anne Foster

Leshya Anne Foster (Ponder), affectionately known as Mema, passed away on September 2, 2024, at the age of 63 in Blue Ridge, Texas. Born on August 23, 1961, in Midland, Texas, Leshya was a vibrant and outgoing individual known for her bubbly spirit and readiness to support others. Her warmth, humor, and non-judgmental nature made her a beloved figure among all who knew her.

Leshya is survived by a loving family: her children, Christina Dunaway of Dayton, Ohio; Chris and Gina Foster of North Richland Hills, Texas, Paul Foster of Bryson, Texas; Jerry Ray Lockridge and Ginnie Maldonado of Little Rock, Arkansas, Terry Lockridge of Stephenville, Texas, Lonnie and Amanda Turner of Blue Ridge, Texas, Billy and Jacque Villa of Black Hawk, Colorado, and brothers David and Valarie Ponder of Midland, Texas, James and Paula Ponder of Fort Stockton, Texas. She also leaves behind 13 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Leshya was preceded in death by her husband, Rodger Foster; her parents, Bobby and Mary Ponder; brothers, Frank and Charles Ponder; niece, Jessica Sue Ponder; and nephew, Nathan Bryan Freeman.

A memorial service to celebrate Leshya's life will be 2:00 PM Saturday, September 21, 2024 at the First Baptist Church of Bryson, Texas. Morrison Funeral Home of Graham, Texas is assisting the family with the arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to a local cancer society in memory of Leshya. Her generous spirit and loving nature will be deeply missed but forever cherished in the memories of those she touched.
