Lewis Fields

Lewis Fields, age 88, passed away in Weatherford on Sunday, July 28, 2024. Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, August 1, 2024 at Morrison Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Cottonwood Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home. 

Lewis was born on October 10, 1935 in Bryson, Texas to Lawrence Wade and Etta Mae (Cook) Fields. Lewis began his working career in the oilfield. He married the love of his life, Angela Johnson on August 15, 1964 in Garland, Texas. With the knowledge he gained from his many different careers he started his own business from scratch. Later in life Lewis moved back home and built his dream home on his family land and enjoyed life on the ranch as he tended to his cattle. Lewis was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. Lewis loved his recliner, westerns, and Fox News. In his own words, “I have lived a good life”

Lewis is survived by his wife, Angela Fields of Bryson; children, Randell Fields and wife Cindy of Mesquite, Kenny Fields and partner Cindy Yarborough of Arlington; Terry Fields and wife Brenda of Bryson, grandchildren, Mallorie Robinson and husband Clay, Mackenzie Goodner and husband Larz, Codie Collins and husband John, Summer Ross and husband Jason, Carrie McClatchey and husband Chase, Caleb Boyle, Erika Melrose and husband David, Lisa West and husband Brandon, and Austin Fields; 14 great grandchildren; and son in law, Tom Boyle.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Etta Mae Fields; his 4 brothers, daughter, Vickey Boyle and great grandson and best buddy, Kolton Goodner.

Visitation will be held Wednesday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 at Morrison Funeral Home Chapel.
