Lila Reedy Maples

Lila Reedy Maples, 91, passed away Sunday, December 11, 2016 in Fort Worth.  A graveside funeral will be held Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Pioneer Cemetery.  Arrangements are under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home. 

Lila was born August 21, 1925 in Murray, Texas to the late Charles L. and Crystal Elizabeth (Gowens) Reedy.  She married D.T. “Buster” Maples, February 3, 1944 in Dallas.  He preceded in death on May 20, 1995.  Lila was a former employee of Schlumberger Well Service where she worked as a secretary. 

Survivors include; daughter, Anitra Mezzell of Graham; sons, Charles Maples and wife Pat of Austin, Paul Maples of Graham; grandchildren, Cynthia Davis, Patrick Maples, Paul Douglas Maples, David Maples, and Deedra Keel; great grandchildren, Eric, Turner and Conner Maples, Grace and Emma Davis, Bruno, Carlo, Felix, and Zelda Maples, and Kieran Keel; great great grandchildren, Kendall and Tara Maples; also surviving are two nephews, Joe and Ed Wootton.

Lila was preceded in death by a brother, Leslie Reedy and a sister, Virginia Wootton.
