Lilly Faye Yeates, 87 of Graham, Texas went to be with the Lord on April 9, 2015. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at 11:00 am at Old Bethel Cemetery in College Station, Texas. Arrangements are under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.
Faye was born July 5, 1927 to Vance and Jenny Arrington in Harvey, Texas. Faye spent most of her life in Bryan, Texas. She was employed by Texas A&M University for more than 30 years as Director of Student Finances and Services. She was loved by many Aggie students and coworkers throughout those years as she always had an encouraging word for students who came into her office daily to conduct club activities.
She was preceded in death by her husband Charles Yeates who taught welding for the Texas A&M Agricultural Extension Service , her daughter Glenda Haggart who was one of the first women to attend Texas A&M and her son Curtis Bolton.
She is survived by one brother Thomas Arrington of Bryan, Texas, her son-in-law Ken Haggart and Alicia of Graham, Texas. She has six grandchildren, Robbie Wolter and wife Kim, Stacey Sherrard and husband Kevin, Cassie Leigh and husband Spencer, Jeffrey Miller, Kevin Haggart and wife Kelly, Ashley Rogers and husband Adam and 10 great grandchildren.
The family knows Faye would want to thank all of her caregivers in Graham at Horizon Bay, Graham Regional Hospice, Garden Terrace, First United Methodist Church Samaritans, Sandy Savoy and Janet Few. All of these people gave Faye a great deal of love and we appreciate all they did to make her days more blessed.
