Lonnie Lovern

Lonnie Lovern, 71, of Possum Kingdom Lake, passed away Thursday, August 18, 2016 in Fort Worth. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in Graford Church of Christ. Burial will follow at Union Hill Cemetery in Palo Pinto County under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.

Lonnie was born August 22, 1944 in Graham to the late Lonnie Claude and Melva Lee (Sullivan) Lovern. He married Dana Elizabeth Roberson September 20, 1980 in Hico. Lonnie was a veteran of the United States Army. He retired from the oilfield and was a member of the Church of Christ

Survivors include: wife, Dana Roberson Lovern of Possum Kingdom Lake; sons, Sam Lovern of Enid, Oklahoma, Brent Lovern and Clent Lovern both of Fort Worth, Jimmy Dan Lovern of Graham, and Lonnie Lovern, Jr. of Salesville; sister, Janice Braddock of Graham; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by brothers, Sully and Dale Lovern.

Visitation will be held Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
