Lorene Hill

Lorene Hill, 88, passed away Sunday, February 19, 2012 in Graham. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in Morrison Funeral Chapel with Gary Tull of Graham officiating. Burial will follow in Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.

Lorene was born July 31, 1923 in Young County, Texas to the late Elmer Herschel and Bessie Beatrice (Newby) Smith. She married Oliver W. Hill, Jr., December 3, 1940 in Chickasha, Oklahoma. He preceded in death on August 17, 2009. Lorene was a former employee of Winn's Variety Store and a private duty nurse. She was a member of Oak Street Baptist Church where she was a G.A. Leader for many years.

Survivors include; daughter, Minnie Wilkes of Graham; four grandchildren, Michael Wilkes, Amy Shubert, Laura Clayton and Linda Williams; twelve great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren; brother, Glen Smith of Monahans.

Lorene was preceded in death by a daughter, Beatrice Kay Hill, three brothers and two sisters.

The Family will receive friends Monday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
