Margaret Inez Long

Margaret Inez Long, 80, passed away Thursday, February 22, 2018 in Wichita Falls. Funeral services will be Saturday, March 3, 2018 at 11:00a.m. at Morrison Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.

Margaret was born November 16, 1937 in Albany to the late Booker T. and Eula (Smith) Thomas. She married Bobby Long April 23, 1982 in Abilene and he preceded her in death May 1, 2010. Margaret Long was a long time member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Where she was active in the Women's Missionary Society and Women's for Community Development "WCD." She was loved and known by family and close friends as "Nannie." She will always be remembered by those who knew her as a women with a big heart to give and help anyway she could.

Survivors include: Sons - Larry D. Coleman and wife, La Sonja of Graham and James B. "Pete" Coleman of Olney; Sisters - Ella Penn of Tucson, Arizona, Letha Ann Booker of Abilene, Gladys Walker of San Antonio, and Mary Helen Shead of Graham; Daughter-in-law - Carla Coleman of Wichita Falls; Grandchildren - Tamitha Halloway, Shemeka Coleman, Rhonda Sharon Taylor, Willie D. Coleman, Brooke D. Coleman, Ricky Sykes, James Coleman, Larry Coleman, Jr., Terence Coleman, Monique Coleman, Marquis Sykes, Zaykia Sykes, Markel Long, Lajuana Long, James Coleman, Jr., Aaron Coleman, and Kiran Smith; 23 great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews family and friends.

She was preceded in death by daughter, Rose Ann Sykes, sons, William Howard Coleman and Marcus Long, sister, Rosa Lee Cole, brother, Booker T. Thomas and granddaughter, Natasha Noble.

Visitation will be Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
