Margaret Evelyn Smith

Margaret Evelyn Smith, 89, passed away on Saturday, May 14, 2011 in Olney. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 18, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in Morrison Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.

Margaret was born on August 20, 1921 in Harrington, Delaware to the late Leonard and Mary Jane (Morgan) Donovan. She married Oliver Thomas Smith on December 24, 1938 in Smyrna, Delaware. He preceded her in death on March 29, 2002. Margaret was a seamstress.

Survivors include: daughter, Janet Yeager of Tye; sons, James O. Smith of Gardiner, Maine, Paul T. Smith of Olney, Stephen M. Smith of Graham, and Michael J. Smith of Graham; sisters, Ruth Dean and Rhoda Wright both of Harrington, Delaware; 13 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Sandra Burns, two sisters, and three brothers.
