Marie Steadham

Marie Owen Steadham, 94, passed away Tuesday, January 8, 2013 in Graham. A Graveside funeral will be held Thursday, January 10, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. in Gooseneck Cemetery in Young County. Arrangements are under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.

Marie was born September 8, 1918 in Bunger, Texas to the late Albert Lafette and Nora Lee Sharp Owen. She married W. Paul Steadham, March 24, 1943 in Graham. He preceded her in death on, December 15, 1989. She was a lifetime resident of Young County. Marie was a retired caregiver and a member of Loving Highway Church of Christ.

Survivors include; daughters, Betty Hall and Jack Evans of Graham, Polly Creswell and husband Carey of Graham; son, Max Steadham and wife Norma of Dallas; sister, Frankie Douglas of Decatur; daughter-in-law, Gayle Lynn Steadham of Graham; 8 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and 5 great great grandchildren.

Marie was preceded in death by a son, John Rex Steadham in 2011.
