Martin (Marty) Louise Orr

Martin (Marty) Louise Bond Orr, 91, gained her heavenly wings on May 4, 2021 in Grapevine, Texas. She was born on May 22, 1929 in Floydada, Texas to G. E. Bond and Elizabeth Kennison Bond. Marty met the love of her life , Don Orr , while at college and they were married on December 22, 1949 in Amarillo, Texas. They were married for 52 years. They resided in Denver City, Texas for many years then moved to Graham, Texas in 1994.

Marty is preceded in death by her husband, Don, her two brothers, Wilson and Bud, and her parents.

She is survived by her daughter, Dawn Richardson and husband, Gene of Southlake, TX ; son, Kenny Orr and wife, Marie of Spring, TX; daughter, Melissa Thomason and husband, James, of Granbury TX; 7 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

A private graveside burial will be held on May 16, 2021 for the family followed by a visitation before and after the 3:00 celebration of Marty’s life at the Morrison Funeral Home.

In honor of Marty, her life as a reading teacher, and her love of reading , her family asks that you donate a book to a child in lieu of flowers.
